Best Bronzers to Help You Fake That Summer Bronze
Summer is officially over, but that doesn’t mean you have to welcome back that pasty looking skin again! Bronzer is an absolute must-have in every girl’s beauty kit. You can easily transform that dull winter skin into a glowing summer bronze in no time!
Bronzer is great because it allows you to easily control where you apply it and how dark you want to get. If you just want a more natural look, simply dust it lightly on your cheeks. If you want to achieve a more sun-kissed glow, apply the bronzer everywhere the sun would normally hit you (forehead, cheekbones, nose, and chin). If you’d like a bit more of a tan, you can use the bronzer all over your face, like you would a powder. Then add some blush to highlight your cheekbones and give you a different color. Be careful if you do this though! There is a fine line between bronzed goddess and a dirty oompa loomp!
With SO MANY different bronzers and brands out there, it’s hard to know which ones are worth the buy. Here is a list of my favorite bronzers that will keep you glowing all year round:
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder Medium – This bronzer looks great on most skin tones and will give you a pretty bronze without all the shimmer other bronzers have. It’s color looks like a real tan and is really easy to work with.
NARS Bronzing Powder, Laguna ($36.00) – I’ve been using NARS bronzer for years now. It lasts a long time and has the perfect bronze color. You’ll never look orange! The shade Laguna is universally flattering and will work with most skin tones. I personally love Casino and use it to contour.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer – # 03 Medium – 21g/0.74oz ($36.00) – I’m a huge fan of most Estee Lauder products, and their bronzer is no exception. Not only is it long lasting and won’t rub off, but you also don’t have to use much in order to get great results!
LORAC TANtalizer Baked Bronzer ($32.00) – This bronzer will not only give you a nice tan, but it will also make your skin look radiant. A little goes a long way with this bronzer, so start off with a tiny bit. Remember that it’s always easier to add more than to go back and redo it!
Smashbox BRONZE LIGHTS (SUNKISSED MATTE)($29.00) – This bronzer will give you that subtle sun-kissed. I would recommend this if you’re looking for a more natural look as opposed to if you’re looking for a more tanned look.
Cargo Water Resistant Face Bronzer, 45 Gram ($29.00) – This bronzer has just the perfect amount of shimmer and has several different shades in order to fit all skin tones. This bronzer gives you a more natural color and smoothes out any blemishes.
Laura Mercier Bronzing Pressed Powder Golden Bronze ($32.00) – This bronzer provides a silky smooth bronze and is great to use year-round. It has a hint of shimmer – not glitter – that will make your face look more luminous.
