Summer Makeup Swaps You Should Make

As the seasons change, so should you makeup. During the summer months, you shouldn’t be using the same heavy makeup you do during those harsh winter months.

Not sure what beauty products you should trade in? Here are a of the Summer makeup swaps you should make:

Skin: Save the thicker moisturizer creams for the winter and use lighter moisturizers during the summer. Ladies, I can’t stress this enough- Make sure whatever moisturizer you’re using includes SPF!

Also, trade in your foundation for a tinted moisturizer. I recommend Laura Mercier’s Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer. It has SPF 20 and this one product takes the place of foundation, moisturizer and sunscreen! How’s that for a time savor?!

Cheeks: Replace your powder blush for a cream blush to give your skin a summer glow.

Lips: Save the berry hues for the fall and play up your lips with summery corals and pinks. Not only do these colors look great with a tan, but they are also lighter and more playful.

A big trend this summer is ombre lips

Nails: Save the darker hues for the winter and have fun with bright colors and lots of designs in the summer. Nails are one of this season’s hottest accessories – have fun and push the limits of what you would normally go for! Check out this article for some nail design inspiration.
