Home Remedy For Dry Hands And Feet

There are so many things to love about winter, but one problem that always comes with this joyful season is dry skin — dry hands, dry feet, dry face, dry everything! This is especially true of  hands and feets. Fortunately, the solution to this problem is right in your kitchen!

Here is a home remedy for dry hands and feet that will rid you of that awful winter skin:

Ingredients:

  1. Honey : 2 Tbsp
  2. Olive oil : 4 Tbsp
  3. Fresh Lemon juice: 2 Tbsp
  4. Petroleum jelly

Method:

Take a bowl of lukewarm water (almost 5 to 6 glasses of water) so you can soak your hands in it. Add honey, olive oil and fresh lemon juice in it, mix it and soak your hands or feet in it for at least 15 to 20 minutes and give your hands/feet a home spa treatment. Now pat your hands dry with a disposable paper towel. Now take petroleum jelly (you can use vaseline) and apply a coat of it on your hands/feet, massage lightly and cover your hands with cotton gloves. Now steam your hands/feet for 5 to 10 minutes with face steamer, if you don’t have one then just boil some water, pour it in a bowl and place your hands above the bowl as long as the steam keeps coming out. Steam will open up your pores and petroleum jelly will penetrate deep into the skin. You can do this before bedtime and sleep with glove on.

Tip: One of the main reason of dry skin in winters is dehydration. External dryness is a result of internal lack of water. So keep in mind that drinking water is very important during the winter months too!
